We believe that incarcerated individuals can benefit from education in terms of vocational, personal advancement, and increased self-worth. We further believe that correctional institutions benefit from educational programming through provision for a constructive use of time. The citizens of Maine benefit in an improved correctional system that provides incarcerated individuals with improved resources to cope with life.
